My car will not go into drive or reverse

One morning the car seem to not wanting to back
up then it was OK then I was driving and it just
slowed down and stopped someone told me the
transmission belt pop

Lol there's no transmission belt. Check transmission fluid, if fluid looks ok, nit burnt or empty, u need a new tranny
