What does Bad Rotors sound like on a 2005 Chevy Cavalier

well, if the pads wear down past the squealers (to remind you) they will start to grind steel on steel...grindy-rumble type of sound....crikey, just buy NEW calipers and NEW rotors and be on the road today~ this here is boilerplate work...nothing special about this~

If you have good pads and do not hear a grinding or squealing but your front rotors are bad you will get a vibration thru your steering wheel under hard braking.
