2002 Camry Tranny Fluid

The OEM manual says good for life. My senses tell me if it smells burnt change it. Just the other day the car seems to be slipping as in the tranny. Will a Fluid change and flush help or am I wasting money the T-IV isn't cheap

Ok, I have a 2002 Camry LE V6 I have had no slipping but the fluid was discolored and smelled slightly burnt at around 150,000. I paid around $200 for a flush and fluid change and the amount of change was amazing. I have put another 100,000 miles on the car with no issues. I really don't believe in lifetime fluids. It doesn't make sense to me that the properties of the fluid don't change over 15 years and 150,000 miles. I just flushed it again at 250,000 miles and no issues.
Lifetime means when the fluid is at the end of its life your transmission dies! I recommend changing the fluid out a lot more often than 100,000 miles.
