timing chain on 2005 cavialar

car would not start one day,checked the timing chain,and was very loose,it didnt break,so
i checked the guide,and it was broken,got new chain,and guide,and put them in,but when i
hand crank it ,it always comes up one tooth off,can anyone tell me what i'am doing
wrong.thank you

Sounds like they either have you the wrong guide, or they changed the teeth up or made it better they did that to me on a different part. Make sure they gave you the right part

Hopefully you have the old part so you can check it with the new one to make sure it is an identical match. Where you got it, check to see if there are more than one gear for your vehicle. Chevy is known for changing parts in the middle of a run during the same year, so you need to go by vehicle serial number when ordering some parts.
