2005 camry has no response to gas pedal being engaged

Hi. Yesterday i came home from work with no problems and parked my camry.
this morning when i started it, it started low idle and the engine light came on.
when i pressed the gas pedal in there is no response. it will idle, and move
forward and reverse at idle speed, but will not accelerate. i checked the fuses
and are all good.
