All of a sudden my car started making a wining noise. It tones down when the car is warm. Do you think it is the power steering fluid? it is at a minimum at this point .

When I start up the car it immediately makes this wining noise. I check the power steering fluid and it is at a minimum. Do you think it could be low on transmission fluid?

Your power steering fluid should be full not at a minimum. Does it wine more when you turn the steering wheel?
Try to check for leaks around your steering wheel assembly. Also check fluid level and leaks around the steering wheel pump.

If the transmission ios low on fluid, it will not make a whining noise. It will shift poorly and run hot until it self-destructs. Your noise is more likely a bearing or bushing going bad in the idler pulley (belt tensioner), water pump, alternator or power steering pump. Mine was the alternator.
When i put the car in reverse sound like its about to cut off and when it in the drive motion it does the same thing.
