Do I need to replace the ignition switch?

Asked by Mario Apr 13, 2020 at 09:21 PM about the 2004 Toyota Camry LE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I tried programing my new remote but can't program it. I
have the key in the ignition and I open the driver side and
no noice. Also on the dash the oil light is on. That never use
to happen. I've had this car for 16 years. So it's something
new. Don't know if it's ignition switch or something else.

Have a mobile locksmith or mechanic reprogram the remote if you can't. You might need a new remote, as it sounds like yours is either defective.
