It sounds like to me that you are losing fuel pressure as the car sits without fuel pump running (while car is running). the car must have high fuel pressure to run properly. If there is a fuel leak on the fuel rail or on one of the injectors, it will bleed off the fuel pressure causing it to be harder to crank after it sits a while. do you smell gas when the car cranks? or any other time? if you do , i would check the rubber o-rings that are on the pipe leading to the fuel rail. if no leak there, then check to see if any of the injectors look wet. if one is, rub your finger on it, and smell your finger, if it smells like gas, its a bad injector. unfortunately, its about 80 bucks to replace. you may be able to find a cheaper one on ebay, but good luck.

Possibly the fuel pump relay is going out? Maybe just the random gremlin.. If it gets more prevalent it will be easier to troubleshoot.
