How to change the distributor cap and rotor

Asked by GuruVD3M9 Aug 03, 2018 at 10:49 PM about the 2000 Toyota Camry CE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

How do I change the distributor cap and rotor?

1 Answer

Distributor caps either have snaps or screws that hold them on. The rotor just presses onto the shaft so all you do is pull it off. The main thing is to not mix up the spark plug wires. Put the new cap and rotor on and transfer the wires back one at a time.
