Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving home in my 99 Camry when the
engine cut off on me.  I got a code PO340 and
replaced the camshaft position sensor.   It
continues to turn over but won't start.  It's 2.2 l 4
cylinder

I currently don't have a way of testing that. Would that have caused the engine to shut off like it did?
