If my heater goes on for two minutes then starts
blowing regular air after turning on my car could
that mean my heater core is clogged? And could it
also be the reason to why my car is overheating?
Check the coolant level cold, the heater is the first to stop working if the level is too low, if the level is correct then I suspect combustion chamber gasses are getting into the cooling system as you drive forcing the coolant away from the heater core as it is one of the higher spots in the cooling system, your local parts store has a DIY kit so you can check for a blown headgasket yourself or you can have a shop do it. Some things to look for is white smoke out the tailpipe when first starting and or a slight engine miss on intial start up, coolant consumption with no external leaks, oil in coolant or coolant in the oil, milky colored engine oil.
Thanks for tge quick ressponse! But even if my heater core does work when i first start car but after two minutes it jus suddenly stops and my temp goes up... Could combustion still be the problem?
