Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So on my way home from work my oil pressure light
started flickering and finally stayed on for about 5-10
miles before my car died....I noticed a smell that was like
burnt rubber and looked down and my engine had died all
warnings lights on, no rpms....i checked my oil which was
at the full line, i had just recently topped off my coolant,
and all belts were intact didnt check the timing belt
tho....after about 30 min i tried starting it up and had no
issues w the start up felt a slight vibration at idle
speed....Any ideas or suggestions on what it could
possibly be??? Thanks

Suggest having the timing belt checked. Did you happen to notice the odor of the engine oil. Feel it between your fingers...smell it...does it smell like gas?

If she started back up, you are safe on the broken timing belt. I would suspect a bad oil pump. I wouldn't drive it any more until you can determine if the engine is in fact getting any oil to it. It may be clogged with sludge. if you keep driving it, you may seize your engine.

what if i went ahead and did another oil change except add some marvel mystery oil to it would that help clean out some of the sludge buildup, and let the car run for a little bit

Camry31829, I would get an oil pressure gauge and see what you're getting for pressure. You may be playing with fire if you use the mystery oil. Here is a short video on how to check your pressure. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8teB16U0LA
