93 CAMRY 3VZ-FE Automatic Stalls/chokes on acceleration. **Detailed description***

Asked by Jul 26, 2017 at 12:53 PM about the 1993 Toyota Camry XLE V6

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have been noticing when at a red light, stop sign, basically anytime i am at
a complete stop, i will start to accelerate and immediately feel the car trying
to move but goes in and out of accelerating. almost like its just blocked a bit
and needs to break through a blockage is what it feels like. Just recently got
this car from a friend who didnt take the best care of it but it did recently get
a new transmission. All fluid levels are good, it has no indication of over
heating... I also noticed last night while coming home a back way that the
steeper the hill the more it chokes/stalls/tries to die. on a decline there is no
issue at all which i assume to be the extra momentum from the decline. Its a
little early so if you need other information please ask or educate me. I have
the owners manual on me and car is right outside.... Thank you ahead of
time everyone!
