Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tried turning and pushing down on rad cap won't budge

1 Answer

If the cap has not been off in a long time, there may be corrosion and gunk under the cap. The key is to push the cap down before turning, and try moving it back and forth to loosen it You can also try gently tapping in the cap to break it loose. Don't hit it very hard as you can damage the radiator.
