Is it burning any oil? Why do they say you need to change to high mileage oil? If your not having any issues and it's not burning oil I would recommend staying with your current type and weight of oil.

Nope. It does not seem to be burning oil. However, I have had gasket issues and had it replaced. Unfortunately it still leaks droplets once in a while (in few days... as opposed to daily earlier). I don't think both are related...Am I right?

A high mileage oil may help with the leaks. But I feel it's always best to fix a leak correctly verses putting a thicker oil in to stop it. Where is the oil dripping from? And if only a few drops or so I would not worry about it so much.

Oh, those Firestone guys! Always trying to make an extra buck- just use the same oil you were using, take your car somewhere else than Firestone- find a real garage and have them get up in there and tighten things up so your leaks go away-

Ok. The majority of you say "address the leak right... and only if it is few drops". Actually its only a drop or two once in a while. Maybe like 3 - 5 drops in the last couple of weeks. I guess I will stick to the regular oil (u r saying thick oil is "band-aid" fix). Thanks a bunch for all your feedback. Have a happy July 4th!!
