May be a vacuum leak at the intake manifold, throttle body base gasket, or a bad vacuum line.
Has the timing belt been changed? Timing belt service life on the Aveo is 60,000 miles. It is possible that it has slipped one or two teeth causing this issue. Also clean the throttle body and check the base gasket.
