1994 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6

Asked by Apr 23, 2017 at 03:39 PM about the 1994 Toyota 4Runner 4 Dr SR5 V6 4WD SUV

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car recently overheated, it slowed down as I
was driving so I pulled over and the engine started
smoking and the radiator just about exploded. I
replaced the radiator, coolant hoses, and
thermostat but the car overheated once again.
What could be some possible troubleshoot
options/solutions to this problem?

You probably need a general clean up from radiator to engine to free up or unclogged the internals of the engine where coolant flows. Bring your 4Runner to Oil Stop and tell them to clean first the engine before filling a new coolant. I always bring my 4Runner to this shop and they did a better job in checking your coolant and engine cooling temp.
