where is the starter located in the engine

I need to know the location of the starter on the engine so I can replace.

Hello, This may be a pretty tricky job you may want to turn over to your mechanic. However, this person gives some pretty good detail about how to change the starter in the '95 4Runner. I was able to replace my starter using this step by step document...I am not the most mechanical person, but bought my 4runner to play... http://www.yotatech.com/f128/starter-replacement-2nd-gen-4runner-76358/ Another option would be to go to a pick-a-part and pull one to get practice before you start on your truck...getting it in was much easier than getting it out :)
