Yes,i can be done and has been,but it takes a lot of modifications.
TST is right, you can, but why? There is no GM engine that will hold a candle to the 3.0L V6 in a 4Runner in '93

You can put a Chevy engine in any car or truck just like what t_s_t said takes a lot of modifications
I saw that you can put the 4.3 yota motor in with some minimal mods
