I just bought a 1998 Suzuki Sidekick JS Sport and it has a button on the consult above the shifter that has a "P" on the right side, on the left side an "N" and what was in the middle I can not read. What is this button for and how do we use it?

P is for performance and N is for Normal. It changes the shift points on the automatic transmission.

I left it in P for better acceleration from stop lights......... Makes no difference on hwy performance or hwy MPG. Minimal mpg gain around town in Normal.
