2006 Malibu Won't Start

Question type: General

Yesterday when I came home from work, my car started up find and I drove
home. I had to go out a few hours later and when I started it, the gas gauge
read 0 and the kilometer meter said "error." This lead the steering wheel to
tighten up and the car shutting off.

When I tried turning it back on, the car wouldn't start. The lights, radio and
everything comes on except the engine firing up.

I suspected that it may either be a fuel pump issue, or a ignition fuse issue
but I wanted to get some opinions.

Malibu,s have a issue with the igintion switch being bad,and has had recall,s on this,

Check fuel pressure but most likely it's a bad ignition switch
