A/C Help on 06 impala

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My A/C doesn't work except on high but blows like
it would be on low...but the catch is in order for the
A/C to comega on it have to bang on my
dashboard...Can anyone give suggestions to what
it could be Please!!!!

If you put it on heat , vent ,or another setting does the blower act the same way ? Don't bang on the dash , if thats what works then it may be the selector panel , the speed of the blower depends on a "resistor block" more than likely , that can be near the blower ,. The hard part of this is being able to get under the dash and remove what you need for access.
