My 2006 HHR needs a new fuel pump and the car has only 34000 miles on it. Has anyone else had this problem?

try to keep your tank full so it stays cooler i think you're suppose to change the fuel filter like every 20 grand

yes also when running the tank real low, it sucks up all the dirt and crap from the bottom of the tank plugging the filter and eventually burning the pump out.

For some reason the fuel pump in HHRs do not last. Do some searches and you will see where some Delco pumps went out in less than 3000 miles. It's a very common problem in the HHR. I have a 2007 HHR and the fourth pump just went out. I have tried different brands and none have lasted. I've never let my gas go below half tank and keep good filters. It must be an engineering problem in the lines that wear the pumps out.
