Subaru 2005 2.5xt outback

my outback makes a loud clunking sound in the rear of the car when you take
your foot off the gas and push the gas pedal down quickly. If you push the gas
pedal slowly it doesn't happen. this happens when going 40mph or better. It has
an automatic transmission. Any idea what the problem might be?
