Dash panel lights dim.

I just bought a 2000 Subaru Legacy Outback Wagon and I noticed, that night, that
the dash panel is very dim!!! Guy I bought it from put a new battery in it. Is this the
alternator?? Something else???

Check to make sure you did not accidentally turn the instrument light level down. There is a wheel by the head light switch to adjust the light level.

Ta dah! Test also by turning headlights on/off, watching display. Then find the rocker switch FOR mentioned.

Hello, is there a way to tie into the dashboard light in order to add a DIY light on a section where my stereo is? My goal is when you turn on your lights for night time view the dashboard lights come on buy that one little extra light I want to add in myself will turn on also. Hope that makes sense?

Sure. You can either grab the dimmed ambient wire into the instrument cluster or, if easier, from the harness entering the radio head. I'd probably grab it off the latter, if removing the radio is easier than futzing with the instrument cluster. Have fun.
