You can get a block tester from the auto store for around $30. Just a plastic tube with blue chemical. That will confirm a bad head gasket. Many videos on youtube on how to perform the test.

Hopefully, you got a great deal on the used engine? Did it come with any guarantee, like one year or 12,000 miles? Maybe 90 days or three months? Why didn't you just have your old engine rebuilt? Most engine rebuilds are better even though they're more expensive. At least with an engine rebuild, you know exactly what you're getting. Sorry you're going through this, if it's the head gaskets, maybe you can get them replaced with the improved multi layered head gaskets. If its the water jackets are rusted, that's going to be a huge problem.

Last engine was overheated so bad heads were junk would of cost more than the car is worth to rebuild contacted junk yard about engine they are exchanging engine they said they tested the exchange engine should be good to go just got to swap engines agin

If you buy a used engine I would seriously consider doing the head gaskets and timing belt while the engine is out as it will be easy and fairly cheap to do at that time. If the engine is good otherwise you will be good to go for at least another 100,000 miles.
