Overheating issue.

Asked by Oct 07, 2017 at 06:28 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Equinox LS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 equinox started overheating. So I
replaced the thermostat, think that was the
problem. Usually is. But it still overheated. So then,
I replaced the water pump. No joy. Still overheats.
Then I noticed the egr tube was cracked. So I
replaced it. Still overheats. What's next? There are
no leaks, and no coolant mixed with oil, so I don't
think it's an issue with the heads. So what could it
be? Any help would be appreciated.

Still check it for blown headgaskets, you may still have them blown and not have any oil in the water or water in the oil.

Have you tried to check if it’s the heater core that is inside the dash?
