I think I know the answer but will ask anyway.....

I have a 94 Subaru Legacy that overheated a week ago. I was on a busy
road and had to pull off, and instead of letting it cool completely I put water
in the radiator so I could drive a block home.
Now I have to put water in it daily and it leaking under the block. Im
guessing I cracked it.
My question.....because I am not sure....
It seems fine driving the 10 miles to and from work, and I keep water with me
at all times. And I know I need to get it checked, as soon as I possibly can
afford to I will. But how much damage will I do if I continue driving it?

Feeling silly for even asking.....but Im a Chevy girl

Not much more than has been done! (keep water in it) I KNOW I'm bad for saying this but Subaru's eat head gaskets and self destruct regularly,(2.5 DOHC lemon tart engine) NOT, in your '94...Search online forums Everybody knows this...Head gasket design trouble for 10+ years. Ask WHY? did it overheat? It was running excellent prior to this right? " Chances are, if you own a Subaru, you’ve already caught wind of the cylinder head gasket failures that are dogging many of the Models that are on the road today. What started as a nasty rumor, has more recently become a ground swell that sounds more like an angry mob with pitchforks. Subarus are currently experiencing and alarming rate of head gasket failure. We won’t deny that. This article is intended to inform our audience on the who, what, where and hows of the problem." Regards,

I have had gasket trouble with it, yes. Thank you so much for your quick reply.....I will keep adding water until I can get it fixed. Much help!!
