Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My daughter is in graduate school at the University at Buffalo, in NY State, and moved
several years ago from our home. We've heard there has been a recall regarding her
vehicle's electrical ignition with the possibility of big problems while driving but the Chevy
Dealership asks to see the "Re-Call Letter" before they can do anything. Anyone have
any ideas?

Hopefully, the following link will help you. I've never dealt with the dealer for a recall. I would speak to someone at the dealer so they can hopefully help you. http://www.gm.com/ignition-switch-recall.html?seo=goo_|_Awareness_|_1741|1755|IPUS|AU|G|A|BP|BMM|+GG-AWR-Chevy-Recall-SN-BP-BMM_|_Cobalt+Recalls_|_%2B2006%20%2Bchevy%20%2Bcobalt%20%2Brecall

the dealer should have gotten a service bulletin regarding this recall. Not sure why they would need the letter? Has anyone else dealt with a recall?
