1993 Subaru Legacy L Wagon FWD automatic AC/Wiring?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The ac compressor and fuses have been replaced within the last year. There is still a clicking noise coming from behind the glove box. With the "clicking" sound, the AC turns on/off. With the glove box removed, there is a large black box. Directly behind that I can reach a plug/wiring harness. When this is adjusted by touch, I can control the "clicking" and whether the AC is on or off. I was wondering what this part of the wiring harness was and if it can be replaced... and at what cost.

the only click i heard was compressor turning on. i don't know how to say in english, but may be it's "relay". or also something similar was on my mercedes S320. i had to take off the heating box & there is a somekind of contact which sticked up with thermo-glue, i just took it off & put new thermo-glue on it. any wiring or hoses are easy to replace. otherwise you can get a new box with all the wires not more than 200$ from the used (crushed, damaged car if you have such places).
