If there is an actual egr valve on a 1990 subaru legacy LS, where is it?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

None of the parts stores show an actual egr valve for my 1990 Subaru legacy LS - only an egr solenoid valve which I have replaced - I'm still getting a loping idle situation which is indicative of a problem with the egr system - Thanks, Mark

Nope, you've replaced the "EGR Valve" but it could also be any of a number of vacuum lines/tubes or a leaky intake manifold gasket. Any air uncompensated for by the MAF sensor will cause an issue like this on these cars.
