I have a 1995 convertible that will start honking on its own when ever it wants to

Asked by DJH032 Apr 12, 2015 at 11:40 AM about the 1995 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

In addition if your driving the dash lights will all blink on and off and honk on and off. Did
find a door switch that is bad (it was continuously locking and unlocking) but took out fuse
to the door switch and car will still act up. Can sit for 2 days quietly and then start a
honking intermittently. Nothing shuts it off but disconnecting the battery. Please help! Very
frustrated!

Replace your battery. Corvettes do weird things when the battery charge is low... Hope that helps. Paul

Paul, thank you for taking the time to answer. Unfortunately it has a new battery

No problem. Have you tested the battery recently? That could still be the problem if you have a bad alternator, or a draw from the starter....
