Where is the fuel pump on my 1998 subaru impreza outback sport awd

Can I tap the gas tank to get it started. I was low on gas.
Tried to get to gas station but didn't make it. The car wants
to start but won't turn over. What's wrong?

The fuel pump is under the floorboard cover in the trunk. This is the pump, I don't know what the plastic bag is, looks like a catheter bag. If you know that the pump is bad I can give you instructions on changing it. The fuel rail MUST BE BLED to relieve pressure or you will get a gasoline bath, not good to state the obvious. Let me know, myself or one of the guys will explain how to change it if you need it. The gas cools the pump and if run dry it could have burned up.
