subaru forester dipstick is unreliable and confusing
check it in the morning afer it has sat and cooled down...i like mine to read just past full
Subaru's take a long time to drain down. I would check it at a consistent time like first thing in the morning or after it has sat for 10- 15 minutes.
Yup yup yup. Be sure to wipe it before insertion unless stone cold.
ha ha no wonder i have engine failure, if there is oil on it, it maybe ok. when valves start rapping well ~~~~ and if it's rod bearings or heads coming apart time for a rebulid.
