I have a question on pairing up Tires for a 1993 C4 Corvette

I have brand new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus tires on the rear. 285/40 ZR17
Cannot locate any Pilot Sport plus tires for the front.
Are Michelin Pilot Super Sport 255/45 ZR17 for the front compatible even though the tread design is different?

I am not crossing tires. I want to purchase new tires for the front, and am wondering if the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with a different tread than the rear Pilot Sport A/S are acceptable replacements.

On the door jam it will tell you the factory tire size and pressure. I have an older Corvette but isn't the rims smaller in the front than the rear? In a Corvette never cross the tires. If you can't find the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, go on line to Michelin and they will tell you the sizes they make for those tires. The store just may be out of them and if it is made, they should be able to get it to you in a couple of days.
