2006 pontiac grand prix gxp

I have a 2006 pontiac grand prix gxp it was
working fine shut it off went into the store and
when I came out it went into reverse fine and
backed up fine but when I put it in drive it wouldn't
move. It will move in manual but the padels doesn't
shift it out.

Did you figure out what was wrong with it because I have one doing the exact same thing
