Hood ajar light keeps coming on when it rains or I go through a car wash. I have changed the hood latch and cable. So what could it be?

The switch is out of adjustment or defective or the moisture is getting into the switch. I would replace it.

It's a microswich located on the door latch. Sounds like you have an exposed wire inside the door that is getting wet and completing the circuit to ground. This will also cause the interior lights to come on and stay on. HTH. -Jim
