It may need a new Automatic Headlamp Control Ambient Light Sensor that controls the automatic mode of the headlights. Here is a sight for one of these... https://www.carid.com/acdelco/gm-original-equipment-ambient-light-sensor-mpn-13498957.html?singleid=213329572&url=1495343

Do they both go off at the same time, or randomly one at a time? If its random its likely the bulbs.Have you replaced them? Modern halogen bulbs are notorious for doing that when the filament inside is broken. It's a stiffer material that manages to weld itself back together briefly, usually when cool and then breaks again when it gets hot.
