Traction control

Asked by Sep 07, 2017 at 06:16 PM about the 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 grand prix, 3.8l. Recently, upon take
off, sometimes it seems like 1st gear hesitates to
catch. Felt like the motor mounts were bad & the
motor was banging. It doesnt do it everytime
though. I replaced the 2 top motor mounts & the
both bottom ones & it still does what I described.
Is there something I am missing? Every other gear
shifts as smooth as a baby's bottom when driving,
so I dont think its the tranny. Can anyone help me
out? Also the car doesnt have a traction control
button.
