Is their a ground wire under the car by the fule pump or gas tank that has to be hooked up?

I have a 2005 pontiac grand prix. had to change the fule pump. the fule pump kicks on
now the car wont turn over. good battery has gas, If someone knows what it could be.
please let me know.
