While engine is idling the temperature
runs high. As long as the vehicle is in
motion the temperature is fine. Heard
a hissing sound once I turned the
engine off and later found coolant
leaking on passenger side.
Get a cooling system pressure test if you can't find the leak on your own.
After you find and fix your leak problem, check out your cooling fans. They should run when the heat builds up at idle or when you run you AC. At normal driving speed, the airflow through the radiator and around the block is normally enough to keep the temp in the operating range,
