68 GTO fit in a 2004 Grand Prix GTP

I have to get a new engine for my 2004 GTP pontiac.. and i was wondering  if a 68 GTO
engine Block can fit into a 2004 Grand Prix GTP Supercharged?

No. Everything on that newer engine is run by computer. The older engines didn't run by computer. Even if you did bolt in in there, the transmission will not work either. Older engines were mounted front to back. New engines are usually mounted sideways. If your car is front wheel drive, there's no way that engine can be mounted that way to your existing transmission. Not to mention your entire wiring harness will be useless. You need another engine like the one that came with the car.

Not sure what you have for GTO parts kicking around, but, if you have a complete GTO engine with a tri-power, you may be able to sell it and have enough money to put in the same engine that originally came with the car. Just a thought. Does the top of the engine look like this pic? If so, it's worth some serious money.
