Overheating 04 Pontiac Grand Prix

Asked by Mesha Jun 29, 2017 at 06:55 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GT1

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car keeps overheating. I've changed the radiator and
both hoses, water pump, temp sensor and thermostat.. I
was about to change the fan assembly but I ended up
getting both fans to come on...but they are very iffy as to
when they want to work....the car has enough coolant and
idk why the fans don't want to work when they're supposed
to...any help please!!

unless you know what the "set-point" temp is you can't figure out if there OK. Get an OBD2 .. plug it in under the dash and you will get the set point BTW .. anytime your AC is on both fans should be running
