Cooling Fan/Computer Issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

All relays are good, Thermostat good, both temp sensors are good, checked
all the fuses, they're good. Out-looped the motor, that kicked on just fine.
Literally everything is in working order but the damned low temp fan will not
kick on. Reaches a 220 temp before the high temp fan does its business.
Computer?? If so, HOW is this fixed?!?! How much does it cost?! AAAHHH!!!

I think this is normal for the Grand Prix. My 2006 did the same thing. It gets plenty of airflow when moving to cool the radiator, but when idling, it gets to 220 before the fan kicks on. My solution was to turn on the A/C when idling to force the fan to come on.

Dorian When it got to 220, did both fans kick in or just the passenger side?

I just saw a video , that this type of vehicles uses 4 different kinds of thermostats options and the guy said to install the one that opens at 180 degrees, and this will solve this issue the temp won’t pass not even half way on the temp gage car will always stay cool
