My power steering

Question type: General

my steering works fine going down the road but when I slow down or stop to turn, I have
no power steering....was told pump is good and I have checked fluid (scraped up hand,
thanks GM)

Your drive belt is slipping. Possibly the harmonic balancer (drive pulley) is not turning properly.

I took the cap off while it was running and turned wheel back and forth to get all the air out and it is steering fine...I haven't driven it far yet, but I will update. Belt and harmonic balancer look fine and appear to be working correctly

just a thought if this doesn't fix it that you mentioned, Have someone check your rack-in pen. also both boots on both sides.
