Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently been having vibrations in my car. I got it
aligned and had my tires balanced and it’s still
vibrating. The vibrating didn’t start until after I got
my oil changed in December.

64% has to do with the oil change interval. The actual level might be zero.

You may also need new spark plugs. They need changing so infrequently these days that its easy to forget they are even in there. My car started vibrating so bad I thought the front end was coming undone. Then I remembered that my spark plugs were ancient. Changed them and the plug wires which all came apart when I tried to get them off and the car runs like new.

Did they rotate your tires for you too.If not even if there balanced it well still vibrate .

I don’t think they rotated them. If my car get pass 40 mph it’ll shake for a min then stop. The mechanic recommended a speed sensor

make sure all the plug wires are one the plugs tight to.Ff the engine isn't visualy shacking at a higher RPM thats not the problem It will be in the drive line tires . rims , drive shaft if its rear wheel drive . make sure the tires are not worn one one side or the other . Cupping is when a tire has to muck air in them and causes the tire to wear in the center and not evenly across the tire . and if the tires are not rotated to factory spec's and you wait to long like methen have them rotated it will shack no mater how many times you rotatr them until you replace them .

And no,cupping tires might create a little more road noise but they won’t make the car shake

I would call them and ask if they rotated your tires it may tell you on the work order receipt.if they did or didn't I would have them rotate the tires or have them do it again . Tell the what trouble your having and they should do it for free. if they don't and I worked retail for 40 years to keep you happy that's a small price for them to pay . And they know one unhappy customers will tell at minimum ten people about it . And a happy one may never say anything unless someone asks . The Point is if it dose it straight off or at 40 MPG and stops you'll know is the tires. I really don't think it's the engine if it was and it's spark plugs , plug wires ,timing fuel filter except for the harmonic balancer -- --You would have trouble starting it , running smooth at a Ideal , a very quick take off. . And if at 40 MPG and it was the engine it would feel like it was missing and feel like your brakes were being tapped like slowing and then back to speed again . All in all if it's the engine it would eventually stop running completely. And the tires will just plain wear out . You will see that and not hurt you but if your engine stops in a intersection you could get hurt so take your time in traffic .
