I have a 2002 Grand Prix Pontiac that will not start

My 2002 Grand Prix Pontiac does not start
but when I click on it it wants to it acts like it
flooding itself out and it tries to seize the
motor but you can stop the key and turn it
back on and it turns over again but
sometimes it will try to start but then it back
fires i have replaced the spark plugs and still
nothing please help me find out why my car
does not start

This sounds like a timing issue. The timing could be off, or there may be a problem with the correlation between the camshaft sensor and the crank shaft sensor, or maybe the timing chain jumped time. If you know anyone with a scanner, it would help to retrieve the trouble codes. This would let you know what is going on.

I agree. It could be a whole bunch of things. Scan it for codes and then decide if its worth spending a bunch of money on. It's an old car and not worth much. Unless its low mileage and in minty mint condition it might be time to move on to something a bit newer.
