Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is a picture of the area under the hood of my 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix
GT. It's on the driver's side close by the brake fluid reservoir, which you can
see in the pic. Does anyone know what this wire is for? It seems to go into
that black egg thing.
