Transmission wont go past 2nd

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just put a 3.4 Buick transmission in my 3.1 grand
prix. Going don't the road it never shifts to 3rd. If I
put it in 1st it shifts to second without moving the
shifter. So no matter where I have the shifter it
always shifts from first to second. Do I need to
change out my sensors from my stock
transmission to this one? I was told this
transmission was fine before I put it in.
