Shimmy

Asked by Jun 07, 2017 at 08:21 PM about the 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2001 Grand Prix has a constant shimmy no
matter what speed I am driving. I'm thinking a tire
is seperating but I'd like to know some other things
it could be as well since my tires are fairly new.

Does shake when you take your foot off gas when coasting. If it doesn't and only when foot is on gas. It's your cv axles.

loose lug nuts, out of balance tire, or worn suspension components. get the car onto a lift to inspect.
